Edition verification
Check the platform, region and terms behind an edition offer before you buy.
Start with the official editions
Rockstar Games has published information for Standard and Ultimate editions of GTA VI. Use Rockstar’s edition page as the reference point when you compare an outside listing. SixStars does not show prices, rank offers or tell you that one edition is the better buy.
An edition name alone is not enough. Before paying, match every important field on the seller’s page to what you actually need.
- Check the platform. A PlayStation 5 purchase and an Xbox Series X|S purchase are different products.
- Check the region. Make sure the listing is intended for your account and location, and read any activation limits the seller states.
- Check the edition contents against Rockstar’s current edition page. Do not rely on a cropped image, an old comparison chart or a seller’s shortened title.
- Check the delivery format. Confirm whether the seller describes a physical item, a digital product or another fulfilment method, and when it says delivery happens.
- Read the seller terms and refund policy before ordering. Save the listing and receipt in case the delivered product does not match the description.
External offers can differ by seller and region. If the details conflict, pause and verify them with the seller and the relevant platform before spending money.
Red flags
- Pre-launch key offers that claim immediate access or activation without clear, verifiable terms.
- Prices far below RRP with no credible explanation, seller history or buyer protection.
- Sellers that hide their region, platform, delivery format or refund conditions until checkout.
- Edition claims that cannot be matched to Rockstar’s published contents.
- Pressure to pay outside the marketplace’s normal checkout or buyer-protection process.
What SixStars verifies
SixStars links to Rockstar’s edition information and keeps price claims out of this guide. It does not verify third-party inventory, delivery or support. Those remain the seller’s responsibility, so judge the exact offer in front of you rather than the edition name by itself.
