Read trailers without confusing facts and theories
A practical method for keeping official footage, observations and predictions separate.
Start from the original
Use Rockstar’s official media pages for screenshots and footage. Reposts can crop a scene, change colours or omit context. Keep the original source close to the claim you want to check.
Record what is actually shown
A useful observation identifies an object, person or location and points to the relevant image or moment. A visible vehicle does not, by itself, establish its price, performance, customization options or where to buy it in the game.
Separate three kinds of statement
- Official statement: the publisher explicitly describes a feature or detail.
- Visual observation: something can be seen in published material.
- Interpretation: a possible explanation that the material does not establish.
Use SixStars’ database evidence filters and Sources panels to inspect the basis of an entry. If a source only supports part of a claim, keep the remaining part as an open question.
This checklist is SixStars editorial advice, not a claim that every trailer detail will be present in the final game.
